Maggie Atkinson Consulting Ltd

Change management in a challenging world

Customer Testimonials

Maggie worked alongside us on work we commissioned to give an independent view of school improvement services and progress in KS2, and advised us on borough-wide Learning Trust developments and different delivery models. She met a wide range of staff, partners and stakeholders. Some presented challenges for us to consider. Throughout her work the strength she built on was that all those she met want the very best for our children, young people and communities. Maggie will bring career-long leadership insights to your setting, to capture and play back what you are about, why things are as they are, and where you might go next to reach your goals. She will help you to bring your strengths to the fore, enabling you, in a safe space, to own and engage with your development needs. What she produced for us reflected clearly where we felt we were, but also set out ways for us to improve both what we do, and how we need to do it going forward. She knows the sector’s complex and subtle challenges, having herself "been there and done that.” People here were open and transparent with her, comfortable to support and challenge our thinking in a time of complex and continuous change. She is not intrusive but attunes herself to how things are as a starting point. She will not come with a ready-made model of change to impose. She will ask you clear professional questions you might find challenging, and play back the place’s behaviours and habits to reflect on WHY things are as they are and what life would be like if things were different. She plays these answers back in a professionally challenging, supportive way. Maggie worked with us to get her feedback right for our many and complex audiences, so we can all own and take forward our development with confidence. This has enabled us to build on what we were already doing, and position ourselves effectively for the next stage of development.
